Foreign based Zimbabweans Round Up

Zimbabwean plying their trade in foreign leagues around the globe had somewhat a quiet weekend. Here is this week round up of foreign based Zimbabweans’ action.

Knowledge Musona (KV Oostende, Belgium)
The Zimbabwean hitman finally made it in Belgium line up after missing out in three successive matches. Musona came in as a 66th minute substitute as Oostende beat Kortrijk 1-0 to maintain pole position on the Belgian Pro League.

Mathew Rusike (Halmstad, Sweden)
Mathew Rusike played the entire game but proved ineffective as his team were beaten 1-0 by fellow strugglers Falkenberg. It was Halmstad’s 3rd consecutive and they lie second from the bottom in the league deep inside the relegation waters with just 6 league games remaining.

Tinotenda Kadewere (Djurgården, Sweden)
Ever since the departure of Nyasha Mushekwi from Djurgården, goal scoring has never been easy and the team which at one stage topped the Swedish Allsvenskan has now slide down to position 6. Djurgården is also home to Tinotenda Kadewere, the former Harare City young striker. Kadewere was introduced with 4 minutes to go as Djurgården fell 2-0 against 5th placed Malmo.

Silas Songani (SønderjyskE, Denmark)
Songani was an unused substitute in his team’s 2-1 victory over AGF. SønderjyskE are 3rd on the Danish Superliga just 3 points behind 1st and 2nd placed teams.

Costa Nhamoinesu (Sparta Praha, Czech Republic)
The ever shining Costa was at his usual best as his team continued on their impressive unbeaten run. Sparta Praha ran riot beating Sigma Olomouc 4-0. Nhamoinesu however earned the only yellow card in the dying minutes of the game. Sparta remains on top of the league after 7 games played.

Marvellous NaKamba (Vitesse, Netherlands)
Nakamba was on the bench the entire match as his side beat De Graafschap 3-0.

Macauley Bonne (Colchester United, England)
The youthful striker was also an unused sub while his team beat Gillingham 2-1 to record a consecutive victory for the first time this season in League One.
