Dynamos beat Chicken Inn, CAPS United hammer Highlanders

Dynamos kept their hopes for a 5th straight league title alive when they beat Chicken Inn for the first time in Bulawayo this afternoon.

Rodreck Mutuma’s 11th minute goal settled the game for Dembare but Chicken Inn came close to equalising in added time when their effort was cleared off the line. The win puts Dynamos four points behind Chicken Inn and level with second placed FC Platinum.

At the National Sports Stadium CAPS United put on an impressive display as they dismissed struggling Highlanders 3-1. Bamusi’s long range effort beat Ariel Sibanda in goal for Highlanders in the 36th minute.

Knox Mutizwa equalised for Highlanders in the second half with a well taken header but CAPS United soon restore their lead through veteran striker Leonard Tsipa.

Dominic Chungwa then wrapped things up with the third goal in the 93rd minute.

At Vengere Stadium Hwange edged bottom side Dongo Sawmills. Innocent Muchenekwa scored the all-important goal in the 60th minute.

At Ascot Stadium in Gweru  How Mine’s winless streak continued when they were held by Whawha to a goalless draw.
