The ZIFA council has removed Cuthbert Dube from his presidency at an extra ordinary meeting today despite his resignation last night.

The councillors voted 51 to 3 for Dube to immediately be removed from his position.The ZIFA board has also been dissolved.
Dube had tendered his resignation last night but had wanted to stay in power until December the 5th. Jonathan Mashingaidze takes over on an interim basis till elections take place according to the ZIFA constitution.
