Valinhos debt cleared by government

The $81 000 debt owed to former Warriors head coach Valinhos has finally been cleared.

Failure to settle the debt has already cost the nation, with the Warriors the only African nation excluded from the World 2018 Cup qualifiers.

The government through the Sports and Recreation Commission (SRC) has cleared the debt according to minister of Sports and Recreation Makhosini Hlongwane.

Hlongwane said they paid up Valinhos debt yesterday and would now move to appeal the FIFA ban.

Hlongwane remains confident they have a strong case to overturn the decision despite the fact that the first round of qualifiers have already began.

The appeal is set to be launched this week with a delegation travelling to Zurich Switzerland.
