Knox Mutizwa drafted into Warriors squad,Mutuma a big doubt

Highlanders forward Knox Mutizwa has been drafted into the Warriors squad to face Lesotho in a CHAN qualifier on Sunday.

The Warriors finally began camp today after failing to do so yesterday due to financial constraints.

Mutizwa was a surprise exclusion from the original 24 man squad called up despite having a good season and being on top of the goal scoring charts.

According to head coach Callisto Pasuwa Mutizwa replaces Harare City’s Talent Chawapiwa who has been ruled out due to injury.

Callisto Pasuwa says as many as six of his players are nursing injuries. The highly respected coach singled out Dynamos striker Roderick Mutuma as the seriously injured player from that pool.

‘18 players are currently in camp and we are expecting other players today said Pasuwa.

‘We have six injured ones and Roderick Mutuma is seriously injured, “he added. Team captain Danny Phiri did not finish the morning session after a knock.
