Mighty Warriors call for assistance ahead of Olympic qualifier

The Mighty Warriors have thanked various stakeholders that made their trip to Cameroon possible.

The Mighty Warriors were edged 2-1 by Cameroon in the Olympic qualifier. Zimbabwe had a made a great scoring the opener just after six minutes. Despite the loss the team still has a great chance of upsetting Cameroon and becoming the first Zimbabwean football team to qualify for the Olympic Games.

Part of a statement Zimbabwe Women Football Board member Cecilia Gambe read:

I would like to thank Honourable Ministers Oppah Muchinguri-Kashiri, Supa Mandiwanzira and  Makhosini Hlongwani for the assistance they rendered to make the trip to Cameroon a success.  Without their invaluable contributions we could not make this trip possible.

It has been a hectic journey which started with the assistance provided by PHD founder and man of God Prophet W Magaya and PHD family.  With this harsh economic climate, Honourable Ministers managed to assist by sourcing donations from NetOne and TelOne.

With the return leg in two weeks’ time Gambe encouraged  those who wish to donate in cash or kind to donate.
