Warriors arrive in Lesotho for CHAN qualifier

The Zimbabwe national team has arrived in Lesotho for their CHAN 2016 qualifier 2nd leg tie this weekend.

The Warriors flew out this morning and landed in Bloemfontein before continuing the rest of the journey to Lesotho by road.

Zimbabwe carry a 3-1 lead from the first leg.

Meanwhile Warriors skipper Danny Phiri has recovered from an injury that had threatened his availability for the match.

Phiri has fully recovered from the knock he suffered against Lesotho in the first leg at Barbourfields last weekend.

Zimbabwe clobbered the ‘Crocodiles’of Lesotho 3 – 1. Deco who has become a vital cog in the Warriors set up told Soccer 24 that he is fully fit and looking forward to the second leg of the qualifiers.

“I was injured last week and I am ok now and I am looking forward to the second leg if I am selected. All is well in camp now and focus is now on the match ahead,” he said.

If the Warriors manage to get a good result they will qualify for the tournament to be held in Rwanda early next year.
