Chiyangwa declares himself winner of the ZIFA Presidential elections

ZIFA aspiring candidate Philip Chiyangwa has declared himself the winner of the ZIFA Presidency shortly after getting his nomination papers submitted.

ZIFA is this weekend supposed to verify the candidature of all the people who have submitted forms for normination.

ZIFA Electoral Committee, headed by Justice Sello Nare will do the verification at Cresta Oasis.

Despite the verification is yet to be done, Chiyangwa held a press conference to declare himself as the winner.

The Herald quoted the flamboyant businessman as saying.

“I am holding 43 votes for crying out loud to the 58 people, whoever is giving competition I don’t know how they are going to do it but I have 43 votes,” said Chiyangwa.

Chiyangwa also discussed his manifesto known as ‘The Twelve Points of Light’

He says he will focus on restoring the image of the game and make sure that national team players are well remunerated and salaries paid on time.

His manifesto also focuses on extinguishing the balooning ZIFA debt belived to be in the region of $6 Million dollars.

Businessman Philip Chiyangwa will face competition from former PSL Chairman Leslie Gwindi, former Zisco Steel James Takavada player and Trevor Juul who lost the last elections to Cuthbert Dube.
