Kadewere and Rusike faces uncertain future in Sweden

Zimbabwe international Tinotenda Kadewere will next week know his fate at Swedish topflight side Djurgadens who are deliberating on whether to hand the former Harare City striker a contract or not.

When Kadewere joined Djurgadens in August, the Swedish side told his agent they would need a few months to assess the player in order to reach a decision of whether to hand him a long term contract.

The 2014/2015 Swedish season recently ended and with Djurgadens weighing their options, Kadewere can only wait to know whether he will remain in Sweden.

The lanky forward’s agent Gibson Mahachi told the ZBC News amid all the anxiety Djurgadens should have made a decision in the coming week.

Since joining Djurgadens, Kadewere largely made cameo appearances as a second half substitute.

Kadewere scored one goal for the senior side and also featured for the Under 21’s where he bagged a brace in October.

With age still on his side and having shown potential, the next few weeks will be critical in shaping Kadewere’s future.

Meanwhile, Matthew Rusike’s future also hangs in the balance after Halmstads was relegated from the Swedish topflight.

Newcastle United has been reportedly tracking down the Zimbabwean player but it is still unclear whether Rusike will stay in Sweden or move elsewhere.
