Highlanders delivered a goal thriller at the colliery as they sealed a double over the coal miners at the Colliery in a midweek Castle Lager premiership match.
Bosso simply picked from where they left with a performance energy, determination and skill to be 3-0 up at half time thanks to a brace from Ralph Matema and one from Knox Mutizwa.
The stunning 30 minute rout began as early as the fourth minute when Matema got the first of his brace by capitalising on Andrew Chuma blunder to slot one past a bewildered Takabva Mawaya.
Knox Mutizwa grabbed the second in the 28th and was followed in quick succession by Matema finishing off his brace in the 31st through a stellar shot after latching on to a Knox Mutizwa return header, Hwange coach Nation Dube however cut a calm figure on the touchline.
Highlanders clearly dominated the first half with Valentine Ndaba being the sole headache of Hwange’s rear-guard as he constantly cut from the wing with his pace to slit the ball in the goal area.
Hwange goalie Mawaya despite his earlier blunders kept his team in the match after keeping out a well hit Eric Mudzingwa shot, however with the three goal cushion Bosso relaxed.
With the relaxation of Highlanders the second stanza looked more promising for the home team as the inclusion of Farai Vimisayi breathed life into the left flank which had been bleeding goals and true to form Vimisayi’s introduction brought Chipangano’s first as his assist from a corner found David Boriwondo to head home.
Dube’s tinkering paid off as first half substitute Gilbert Zulu was resolute enough to grab a second to bring panic to the Bulawayo giants fans as he shot home in the 71st.
Bosso goalie Ariel Sibanda stopped Hwange from grabbing a much needed equaliser as he stopped a well-choreographed free kick from Munyaradzi Mungadze in the 81st,Chipanganos pursuit for an equaliser left them open in the back with Knox Mutizwa driving the final nail to seal the victory for the visitors.
