The Premier Soccer League has ruled that teams battling for the title and teams fighting relegation will play their remaining matches at the same time.
Chicken Inn currently lead the standings by 2 points with 3 games remaining. They have amased a total of 54 points while immediate contenders FC Platinum follow with 52 points from the same number of games. Defending champions Dynamos are the 3rd title contenders though with a slim chance as they trail log leaders by 6 points.
In an interview with the Chronicle PSL chairman Kenny Ndebele said the system was meant to promote fair play.
“We’ve decided to have all teams involved either in the title or relegation races playing the remaining fixtures on the same day and time. This is something that we’ve always done and I’m sure teams and fans will have an exciting end of the season,” said Ndebele.
All the PSL teams play their Week 28 matches tomorrow with leaders Chicken Inn involved in a tricky assignment against Tsholotsho FC at White City Stadium while FC Platinum travel to Harare for a date with third from bottom club Flame Lily.
