Foreign Based Zimbabweans Round Up

Here is this week’s round up of foreign based Zimbabweans. Only a few Zimbabweans were in action last weekend.

Macauley Bonne did not feauture even on the substitute bench as his English League One side Colchester United got a thorough 5-1 drubbing to record 6th successive loss.

In Denmark the Anticipated Hobro vs SønderjyskE game could not feature any Zimbabwean as well as they appear to struggle in getting game time. Hobro is home to Quincy Antipas, Ronald Pfumbidzai and Tanaka Chinyahara while SønderjyskE is home to Silas Songani. Non of the players made it at least on the substitute bench. SønderjyskE won 2-0.

Knowledge Musona (KV Oostende, Belgium)
Oostende needed a last minute goal in injury time to beat Westerlo 1-0.

A tiring Musona was subbed in the 89th minute as Oostende sought attacking options and were dully rewarded with substitute Nigerian Akpala notching home a priceless last minute goal.

Oostende remain on 3rd position in the Belgian Pro League after the win.

Costa Nhamoinesu (Sparta Prague, Czech Republic)
Straight from Europa League Knockout stage qualification, Sparta Prague returned to winning ways in the Czech Liga coming from behind to beat Zbrojovka Brno 2-1.

Nhamoinesu played the entire match at the heart of defence and produced a fine display. Sparta Prague mantain 2nd position on the the log standings.

Marvelous Nakamba (Vitesse, Netherlands)
Nakamba returned back to the starting team after missing out 2 matches due to red card suspension.

The young star was was welcomed with a narrow 1-0 win over Nec. He was later substituted in the 2nd half.
