Sundowns reveal CAF Champions League ambition

Chicken Inn’s opponents in the CAF Champions League Mamelodi Sundowns have declared their target for this year’s edition.

The South African side which is owned by billionaire Patrice Motsepe are keen to win the tournament and believe 2016 could be their year.

Sundowns skipper Ramahlwe Mphahlele admits Motsepe wants CAF Champions League success. “Honestly speaking, the president wants us to win the Champions League and he is supporting us he told Kickoff.com

“This year we want to give it a serious go again. Last year we failed] but we were unlucky to play the team that won the competition, TP Mazembe.

Sundowns will take on Chicken Inn in early February with the first leg set for Bulawayo.
