Rusike and Billiat impress in ABSA Premiership

Khama Billiat and Evans Rusike were on target in the ABSA Premiership for Mamelodi Sundowns and Maritzburg United.

Billiat continued with his impressive season scoring the opener for Sundowns in the 23rd minute before Castro added a second in the 72nd minute. TUKS pulled one back with ten minutes to go but Sundowns held on for the win.

At Harry Gwala stadium former Hwange striker Evans Rusike played very well as bottom of the log Maritzburg played a thrilling 3-3 draw.

Rusike provided the cross for Mondli Cel to put Maritzburg ahead. Rusike then doubled the lead in the 32nd minute after some good exchanges with Deolin Mekoa. Four minutes later Brian Onyango made it three.

Thabo Rakhale pulled one back just before the break for Pirates before second half goals by Matlaba and Erasmus saw Eric Tinklers side draw level. Tendai Ndoro came in the 46th minute and was involved in Pirates third goal as the ball fell kindly for Erasmus after his back heel attempt.
