Matthew Rusike joins Helsingborgs IF

Zimbabwean international Matthew Rusike has joined Swedish top flight  side Helsingborgs IF on a three year contract.

Rusike left Halmstads BK at the end of the Swedish season after they had been relegated from the top flight.

Rusike had made an impact since joining them in July scoring four times in 9 games but could not save Halmstads BK.

Despite being linked with a move to EPL side Newcastle United Rusike has not remained in Sweden.

Speaking on his move Rusike told the club’s official website , “It’s a great feeling .I am very happy to be part of an amazing club and I look forward to the years ahead.

“I am glad we finally agreed (on contract) and I am now part of the family here.

Rusike joins fellow Zimbabwean international Tinotenda Kadewere in the Swedish league.Kadewere signed for Djurgården after impressing on  loan.
