Mali FA in crisis, destabilises the players ahead of Zim tie

Zimbabwean next opponents in CHAN 2016 group D, Mali, are reportedly hogged in crises as the country’s football association have failed to pay its youthful squad its camping allowances and salaries. a publication in Mali reports that the crisis between FEMAFOOT (Mali’s FA) and supervision department of Mali has led to the poor start for the Malian players in the African Championship of Nations in Rwanda.

Unlike their opponents Zimbabwe, Zambia and Uganda who have been motivated by large sums of money with promise to get more, the Malians went to the tournament with nothing.

The report says the young Malians have almost nothing to be motivated in this competition. The Ministry of Sports in charge of management bonuses and others, did not make slightest gesture to extend a helping hand.

Mali drew their first match 2-2 against Uganda and will face Zimbabwe tomorrow in the second round of the group stages.

The Malians will go to the match seeking revenge since Zimbabwe eliminated them at the quarterfinal stage in the previous edition of the tournament.

Zimbabwe will need nothing shot of victory or else they will be eliminated in the group stage.
