Dembare look to Brazil for strikers

Former league champions Dynamos are looking as far as Brazil to strengthen their strike force ahead of the upcoming season.

New head coach Paulp Jorge Silva has been keen to add more firepower upfront although he has indicated being generally pleased with his side.

Dynamos president Kenny Mubaiwa told Newsday Sport “The coach is speaking to strikers from Brazil and we are still waiting to hear from him because the players are still contracted to their clubs,” Mubaiwa said.

“Once everything has been finalised, we can then send air tickets so that they come and join us added Mubaiwa.

Dynamos currently don’t seem to have too many options upfront with Takesure Chinyama carrying an injury while the pair of Roderick Mutuma and Farai Mupasiri have been at times unreliable. Kelvin Bulaji is yet to really spark since his switch from rivals CAPS United while Kawondera showed potential last season but still needs consistency.

Dynamos will become the second side to be keen on imports to bolster their squad with Tsholotsho also currently assessing a number of foreigners this week.

Silva has already declared that he is going for nothing less than the league title this season.
