EPL: Westbrom blow Man Utd’s fourth place bid, Liverpool beat Palace

Manchester United’s winning streak came to an end this afternoon as the 10-man Red Devils were beaten 1-0 at West Bromwich Albion in the Premier League.

United, who had won their last four games in all competitions, saw plenty of the ball but could not break West Brom defence.

Referee Mike Dean made a big call to send Juan Mata off in the 26th minute.

Salomon Rondon scored after Juan Mata red.

United stay sixth and miss the chance to move back level on points with Manchester City in fourth.

Earlier on Christian Benteke came off the bench to score a contentious 96th-minute winner from the penalty spot as 10-man Liverpool recovered to beat Crystal Palace at Selhurst Park.

Joe Ledley had given the Eagles the lead early in the second half, but Roberto Firmino and Benteke secured the comeback despite James Milner being sent off to give Liverpool their first league win at Selhurst Park since 1997.
