Chitembwe: CAPS United a work in progress

CAPS United head coach Lloyd Chitembwe was happy with his players performance despite their penalty shootout loss to Harare City in the ZNA Charity Shield.

CAPS United went down 4-3 to crash out of the competition. CAPS United had taken the lead through Chungwa and could have added to their tally with better finishing and Harare City eventually equalised late to force the game into penalties.

However despite fielding a strong squad Chitembwe played down the defeat.

“It was a good game for the fans I think, we did not dominate like we wanted to .But I am happy with my players performance. “We are a work in progress and I am glad with the progress we have made.

Chitembwe said the late goal conceded was due to lapse in concentration. “We did have a lapse in concentration and we were not positioned well enough in our defence (at that moment).
