CAF and FIFA have also been notified with Chiyangwa promising swift action.

” We have credible evidence that Mr Edzai Kasinauyo wanted to fix the Zimbabwe game against Swaziland amongst others,  I can confirm to you that a key witness is now in the country and we have taken the issue to the authorities,  and we have also enlisted the services of South African authorities to help us because some players and officials are based in south Africa.

“Henrietta Rushwaya and Ian Gorowa are also involved in these match fixing allegations ,  other players are also involved and we will get to the bottom of the issue, ” he said.

Chiyangwa also indicated that criminal procedures would be taken against those implicated.

Warriors assistant coach Nation Dube has also been suspended as investigations continue. The Warriors squad for the upcoming qualifiers has not been announced after some players were implicated in the scandal but will now be released sometime this week.
