FC Barcelona will face Celtic, Leicester City and Liverpool in the fourth edition of the International Champions Cup, a competition organised by Relevent Sports which will take place from 23 July in which Barça will be participating for the second time. Both the participants and the match schedule of the tournament were revealed on Tuesday in New York, in an event where the Club was represented by former player Edgar Davids.
All three games will take place in Europe.
Luis Enrique’s side took part in the same competition last season, playing a total of four matches. First, they took on Los Angeles Galaxy at the Rose Bowl in Pasadena, followed by Manchester United at Levi’s Stadium in Santa Clara, California; as well as Chelsea at the FedExField, in Washington DC. After three matches on American soil, Barça travelled to Italy to face Fiorentina at the Artemio Franchi in Florence.
The competition which will take place from 23 July to 13 August, will see a host of big names from around the continent. A total of ten European sides will feature, including Bayern Munich, Paris Saint-Germain, Real Madrid, AC Milan, Chelsea and Inter Milan.
