Harare City confident ahead of second leg

Harare City coach Taurayi Mangwiro has expressed confidence that his team will overturn the 2-1 deficit in the second leg of their CAF Confederations Cup encounter against Zambia’s Zanaco.

The Zimbabwe solely remaining CAF representative suffered a disappointing home loss leaving them needing to win by at least 2 goals away in order to progress to the next round.

Harare City intensified their preparations ahead of the weekend encounter but it is the defence that worries Mangwiro the most. They have conceded 5 goals already in the opening two matches of the tournament.

Mangwiro said his team played well but they need to stop making costly mistakes like they have done against both AS Adema in the Preliminary stage as well as against Zanaco in the first leg of the 1st Round.

“We are confident that we can go out there and come out with something.

“We have been scoring and it is encouraging but more work needs to be done defensively,” he said.
