South African clubs target Chicken Inn players

Chicken Inn may have bowed out of the CAF Champions League in Preliminary stage but they surely have made a lasting impression.

The Zimbabwean Champions lost 2-0 over the weekend to go down 2-1 on aggregate.

The Chronicle reports that clubs like Sundowns, Orlando Pirates, Supersport and Golden Arrows have made enquiries over a number of their players.

Edmore Chirambadare and first leg scorer Mitchel Katsvairo appear to be topping the list of the players.

Tafadzwa Kutinyu is reportedly to have impressed Sundowns coach Pitso Mosimane and the coach wants to take a closer look at him.

Golden Arrows are targeting left back Devine Lunga.

Speaking to the Chronicle, Chicken Inn chairman Lifa Ncube confirmed the interests and says they will not stand on any player’s way if approached.

“The boys performed gallantly and we’ve had a few enquiries from South African clubs about some of our players. Unfortunately, we’ll not mention names, but we’ll not stand in any player’s way. We’re ready to strike deals,” said Chicken Inn chairman Lifa Ncube.

Ncube also lamented on the experienced gained on the short stint at the tournament and says they will now focus on regaining the Premier League trophy to ensure another dance at the champions league.
