FC Platinum and Chicken Inn win,CAPS United held

FC Platinum beat Highlanders 2-1 in a Castle Lager Premiership match played while Ngezi Platinum came from behind to draw with CAPS United. Defending champions Chicken Inn left it late to beat Border Strikers 1-0.

FC Platinum dominated the first half and deservedly took the lead through Walter Musona in the 24th minute.

Obrey Chirwa then added a second in the 51st minute capitalising on a Highlanders error at the back. Highlanders pulled one back in the 66th minute through Rahman Kutsanzira as they looked to stage a comeback.

However despite their efforts FC Platinum held on to secure their second consecutive win.

Ngezi Platinum made sure the points were shared in their first league match at Baobab Stadium. The match looked to be heading to a goalless draw but Simba Nhivi struck with ten minutes to go. However Ngezi Platinum grabbed an equaliser in the dying minutes to clinch a point

At Maglas Stadium Divine Lunga struck in the 91st minute to give Chicken Inn a 1-0 win over Border Strikers.

The match had started late after Border Strikers players didn’t have their licences. Border Strikers head coach Saul Chaminuka was not allowed to sit on the bench since the club has not paid for his licence leaving him to shout out instructions from the terraces.
