Chiyangwa speaks on Dynamos issues with Silva set to get the sack

ZIFA president Philip Chiyangwa has added his voice to the problems at Dynamos.

The former league champions have been on a downward spiral both on and off the pitch and are currently struggling to get results.

Head coach Paulo Jorge Silva has come under intense pressure but has blamed members of his technical team and players for sabotaging him by intentionally not giving 100% effort.

Silva appears to have indeed lost the dressing room with player indiscipline also rocking the squad.

Dynamos lost to FC Platinum and Chicken Inn last week in the Independence Cup and are yet to win or score in the league this season.

Chiyangwa said Dynamos like Highlanders are iconic brands  that play a key role in the domestic league and when not competitive the league is not as healthy.

“As ZIFA we are concerned with the state of affairs at Dynamos he told the Herald .Their sudden fall from grace and that coach (Silva) who was hired from Europe seems to be struggling to make his presence felt and instead appears to be taking the club down.

Chiyangwa said Dynamos owed their millions of supporters an explanation of what was happening at the club and sort the situation out.

The Dynamos executive are set to meet today to discuss Silva’s future with reports suggesting they will sack him today and appoint Lloyd Mutasa. The fate of goalkeeper coach Gift Muzadzi will also be decided.
