Bulawayo City fight back to draw with How Mine

Bulawayo City came from two goals down to draw 2-2 with How Mine in the Castle Lager Premiership opener played at White City Stadium.

The match had a slow start but eventually picked up with goals and drama.

In the 11th minute Praise Tonha had a good effort saved after his shot from the halfway line as How Mine pressed for the opener.

In the 25 minute Mkhokheli Dube came very close when his header struck the post with the keeper beaten.

In the 34th minute it was How Mine that opened the scoring for the season when Pascal Manhanga put away a short corner.

Two minute later it was 2-0 to How Mine with Charles Sibanda finishing well from the edge of the box.

Tawanda Muparati almost made it three nil but couldn’t keep his shot down when he made his way into the box.

On the stroke of halftime Bulawayo City was handed a chance to get themselves back in the game when Victor Kamhuka committed a foul in penalty box in an attempt to defend as Bulawayo City’s attacked. The referee pointed to the spot and also sent off Kamhuka .Xolisani Ncube made no mistake scoring to make the score 2-1.

At the start of second half Bulawayo City made key changes among them bringing in Humphrey Ncube.

Ncube made an impact within five minutes of coming on when headed in the equaliser.  Both teams had chances to seal the win in the rest of the second half but cancelled each other’s efforts and settled for the draw.
