Chicken Inn slump continues with loss to Triangle

Castle Lager Premiership defending champions Chicken Inn suffered their third straight defeat of the season when they lost 2-1 to Triangle at Luveve Stadium this afternoon.

Chicken Inn had a poor start to the first half by their standard, with Triangle looking solid at the back.

Malvin Gaki put Triangle in the lead when Lameck Nhamo the ball and found him unmarked and he made no mistake to score in the 42nd minute.

Halftime came with the away side leading 1-0.

Joey Antipas made two changes at the break with Moses Demera and Obadiah Tarumbwa introduced for the second half.

The move almost had instant results when the two combined to face a good save from Mudimu in goal for Triangle.

In the 52nd minute Matawu equalised for Chicken Inn after a good layoff from Tarumbwa. The game swung in Chicken Inn’s favour as they continued to launch more attacks and keep Mudimu busy.

Despite being on top it was Triangle that struck the winner on the 75th minute with Simba Makoni’s shot beating Elvis Chipezeze.

Moses Demera then had two great chances to equalise as the game came to an end but Triangle held on to clinch another win that helps them move into 3rd spot ahead of other Week 6 fixtures.
