Highlanders registered their first league win since 2006 against Dynamos with a 2-0 victory at Rufaro Stadium in a Castle Lager Premiership match this afternoon.

Prince Dube and Bruce Kangwa scored the two goals in the second half to finally end the ten year jinx.
Highlanders had a good start to the game with Bruce Kangwa forcing a key save from Tatenda Mukuruva within the first minute.
Moments later Highlanders forced two consecutive corners as they continued to press
However after ten minutes Dynamos slowly got themselves into the game and started creatingchances of their own,Richard Kawondera had a good chance to score but failed to guide his header on target.
On the 20th minute mark Farai Mupasiri came even closer when he struck the post with his shot after Arial Sibanda had saved Kawondera’s shot.
Dynamos continued to press but were kept out by an impressive Arial Sibanda who kept Highlanders in the game.
Halftime came with Dynamos dominating proceedings but not taking their chances.
The second half started with the Dynamos having the upper hand and Godknows Murwira had two good efforts saved by Sibanda.
Second half substitute Amidu hit the post as Dynamos continued to press without success.
On the 57th minute Highlanders went ahead against the run of play and on the break Prince Dube scored from a tight angle.
The goal shook Dynamos as they never really recovered and lost some tempo after. Evans Gwekwerere had a good chance to equalise but failed to control the ball.
In the 76th minute Highlanders went two up Prince Dube was once again key as his cross founder Bruce Kangwa headed in beating Mukuruva on the near post.
Dynamos still had chances with Bulaji hitting the post with 8 minute to go.But it was not to be as Highlanders held onto the lead.
