Mushekwi ruled out of AFCON qualifier as Warriors troop in

China based Warriors striker Nyasha Mushekwi has been ruled out of Sunday’s AFCON qualifier against Malawi.

Mushekwi  will miss the weekend clash due to commitments with Dalian Yifang FC.He has been replaced by Chicken Inn striker Obadiah Tarumbwa.

Meanwhile the Warriors held their first training session today with foreign based players such as Costa Nhamoinesu, Kuda Mahachi,Willard Katsande,Onismor Bhasera and Marvelous Nakamba joining the local contigent.

Players that are set to join camp tomorrow include the South African based trio of Khama Billiat, Tendai Ndoro and Cuthbert Malajila.Knowledge Musona is also expected to link up with the rest of the squad by tomorrow.

Tomorrow the Warriors will get the chance to step up their preps with a friendly against Uganda at Rufaro Stadium.

Speaking after today’s training session Nhamoinesu said the team was raring to go.

“The mood is very high in camp and we are happy that most guys got here in time, mainly because it’s off season, so this can only help us to gel and understand each other more

“The friendly tomorrow is a good preparation because we are also playing a side that has high hopes so we know that it’s not going to be one of those low key friendlies but it’s actually a proper match he added.
