Gabriel Nyoni out for weeks

Highlanders striker Gabriel Nyoni recently had a plaster moulded on his right leg after picking an injury during one of the club’s training session.

“Gabriel will be out for a couple of weeks said Bosso technical advisor Cosmas Tsano Zulu. “A medical he had advised us that he needed a plaster molded on his leg so that he can recover quickly. He picked the injury at one of our training sessions.

The speedy Nyoni is however yet to feature for the club after eight games that has been played so far in the season.

He has played second fiddle to young Price Dube, equally speedy Bruce Kangwa, Rahman Kutsanzira and veteran Ralph Matema

Meanwhile, Highlanders head coach Erol Akbay says just like any other team the long break that they have been subjected to will greatly affect their rhythm.

“We are just like any other club. This break is going to affect us. It is going to affect our tempo but we have had normal training sessions,” said Akbay.

On Sunday Bosso were set to take on Border Strikers but with four players Bruce Kangwa, King Nadolo, Prince Dube and Bukhosi Ncube committed with national teams their match was postponed to a later date.

Kangwa and Nadolo are with the senior national team for the COSAFA contest in Namibia. The duo of Dube and Ncube is the Under 23 team in Cameroon.
