Chunga off to a winning start while CAPS United are held

Moses Chunga made a winning start in his first game in Charge of Harare City while CAPS United were frustrated by Triangle.

Chunga’s Harare City beat Ngezi Platinum 2-1 at Baobab Stadium this afternoon. Ronald Chitiyo gave City the lead in the 14th minute but it lasted only two minutes with Donald Tegure scoring the equaliser.

William Manondo scored the winner in the 60th minute to give the perfect start for “Bambo”.

At the National Sports Stadium CAPS United wasted a great chance to move top of the standings after they were held to a goalless draw by Triangle. A win for CAPS United would have seen them go above FC Platinum who lost to ZPC Kariba yesterday. It a was a frustrating day for the Green Machine as they came close a number of times and saw a Machisi effort strike the woodwork with minutes to go.

At Sakubva Stadium Bulawayo City edged Mutare City 1-0. Mkhululi Moyo’s scored the goal that made the difference in the 12th minute.
