Zimbabwean international Khama Billiat admits he is looking forward to the CAF Champions’ League.
Billiat had a stellar season with Sundowns in the ABSA Premiership playing a big role in their title triumph.
Billiat was also named SA PSL Footballer of the Year, Midfielder of the Year and Players Player of the Year.
Sundowns are back in the competition after AS Vita were disqualified and Billiat wants to make the most of the second chance
“Playing against the biggest sides in the competition is always exciting for any player because, that’s where you really get the opportunity to test yourselves individually and as a collective”
“We have done well in the domestic league, with some of the players even transferring that form to national team level. Now we have been given a second chance in the Champions League and have to show that we deserve to be there added Billiat.
The Group stages of the competition kick off this weekend. Sundowns are in Group B with Enyimba (Nigeria), Zamalek (Egypt) and ES Setif (Algeria)
