Former CAPS United skipper Method Mwanjali is set to walk free despite his initial attempted murder charge.
Mwanjali is alleged to have stabbed a Harare man Tonderai Nhunzvi in a brawl and was charged with attempted murder.
However Mwanjali’s case has failed to start a number of times and now the victim has reportedly decided to drop the murder charges against him.
Mwanjali’s trial was supposed to take place yesterday but according to the Herald Nhunzvi’s legal representative told the magistrate that the complaint now wanted to drop the charges.
The case now awaits a decision by the state. Mwanjali is currently out on bail and reports suggest the club could offload him along with a number of players in the upcoming transfer window.
