ZPSL: Hwange host Chicken Inn

Defending League Champions Chicken Inn will be away in Hwange this afternoon in the Castle Lager Premiership match scheduled for the Colliery Stadium.

The match is the rescheduled Matchday 9 fixture which was postponed because Chicken Inn had 3 players on National duty during the COSAFA Cup.

The resurgent gamecocks will embark on a revenge mission against Hwange who are the only team who beat them home and away last season. Hwange also was the only team to beat Chicken Inn at Luveve stadium in a season Chicken Inn emerged the league champions under the guidance of Joey Antipas.

Chicken Inn now under the guidance of Rahman Gumbo are on a rise after a shaky start at helm. Gumbo has managed 2 wins in his 5 matches in charge.

Hwange themselves are enduring a somewhat tough season and have also changed a coach with Mebelo Njekwa in charge of the team in place of long serving Nation Dube who was suspended by Zifa for his role in the match fixing scandal.

Both team currently have 13 points though Chicken Inn still has a game in hand. Chicken Inn are on position 10 on the log while Hwange are just below on position 11.
