Rahman Gumbo’s days at Chicken Inn numbered

Chicken Inn head coach Rahman Gumbo’s days at the club appear numbered after another disappointing show at the weekend.

Chicken Inn played out a goalless draw with Chapungu at Luveve Stadium to leave the defending Castle Lager Premiership champions in the 10th position on the ZPSL table with 23 points.

Chicken Inn have only registered one win in the past seven games and the club executive is considering sacking the entire technical team if the situation fails to improve in the coming games.

The club’s executive members which included chairman Life Ncube held a meeting with the technical team at Chicken Inn’s head office at the weekend following the game at Luveve.

The executive is understood to have made it clear that result needed to start coming soon or risk the sack. Gumbo took over from Joey Antipas who joined Amazulu earlier in the season.

Gumbo has found it hard to replace Antipas while a number of key players such as Edmore Chirambadare, Michelle Katsvairo,Danny Phiri have all left the club.
