ABSA Premiership side Mamelodi Sundowns has emerged as the top ranked African club according to a football leading site FootballDataBase.
The Khama Billiat’s side has had great exploits in the CAF Champions League.
According to the latest rankings published by Footballdatabase.com, the Brazilians are joint top with Tunisian sides Etoile du Sahel and Esperance on 1 588 points.
TP Mazembe (1 587) and Vita Club (1 581), who are both from DR Congo, complete the top five teams in Africa.
Zimbabwe’s own Dynamos are on position 13 while FC Platinum are ranked 27th, followed by Highlanders on 34th. Caps United sit on 42nd while Gunners sit at 44th.
The rankings are calculated based on International club competitions.
