Tonderai Ndiraya’s Ngezi Platinum clash with Dynamos at Baobab stadium in what promises to be an interesting affair between two sides who know a lot about each other.
Ndiraya has already admitted it will be emotional to come up against his former side but also noted there are fully aware of what they are coming up against. Dynamos beat Ngezi Platinum 2-0 in the first half of the season.
Dynamos decided not to extend Ndiraya’s stay at the club despite a decent job as interim head coach towards last season.
But Ndiraya has brought believe back to Ngezi but have now suffered two consecutive defeats after an impressive unbeaten run.
Ngezi Platinum have six former Dynamos players in their squad including recent signings Partson Jaure and Walter Mukanga
With FC Platinum being held by Chicken Inn and CAPS United winning Dynamos will need nothing short of a win to keep up with leaders. Lloyd Mutasa will be hoping his side continue to build from their win over Bulawayo City last weekend a game that saw Denver Mukamba show glimpses of his best.
The former Soccer Star of the Year could play a key role for Dynamos’ title aspirations but a misfiring strike force that includes Rodreck Mutuma will also need to start getting much needed goals. Dynamos will be without Ocean Mushure who is suspended for the clash after accumulating three yellow cards.
Elsewhere Highlanders are in desperate need of any kind of win according to head coach Erol Akbay. Highlanders have failed to win in their past six matches and failure to get maximum points today against Kelvin Kaindu’s How Mine at Barbourfields stadium could see Bosso drop out of the top 4.
Triangle will take on Hwange at the Colliery in the other ZPSL Week 21 fixture with a win for Triangle possibly pushing them into the top four.
