Calisto Pasuwa’s Manager Gibson Mahachi has broken the silence after claims by former Warriors Keeper Tapuwa Kapini that he is using his connection with Calisto Pasuwa to secure players under his stable national team places..
Mahachi speaking to the Herald said it was shocking that despite Pasuwa securing AFCON qualification and being the only gaffer in Southern Africa to secure qualification people were criticizing the coach instead of pelting him with praises.
Kapini claimed that 8 players under Mahachi stable were selected for the Warriors last AFCON qualifiers game against Guinea. He alleged that Mahachi used his influence over Pasuwa to secure his players places in the team in order to get recognition. However, of the eight named players Mahachi said he only manages two players — Mukuruva and Hadebe.
Mahachi said, “What surprises me is why the agents of the players who are now being said to belong to my stable are quiet about all this when they should be coming out to tell the
country that they are the ones who manage these players.
“It’s interesting that when we do well, as was the case when we won the two games that sealed our place in Gabon, scoring seven goals and conceding none, all these issues are not brought up but when we just lose one game all hell breaks loose.”
