CAPS United’s title chances are looking good says Chitembwe

CAPS United head coach Lloyd Chitembwe admits their title aspirations are looking good after edging Chicken Inn 1-0 at the National Sports Stadium on Sunday.

Veteran striker Leonard Tsipa was again on target converting from the penalty spot after Lawrence Mhlanga had handled.

Tsipa moved to the top of the goal scoring charts with the all-important goal. CAPS United are just a point behind leaders FC Platinum with seven games left.

“We have always wanted to be champions said Chitembwe. This is a very good result and I am very happy we are in a good position. We have good chance (for the title) like other teams he added.

CAPS United last won the league title in 2005. Chitembwe also felt the title race would be between CAPS, FC Platinum and Highlanders.
