Champions League preview: Real Madrid meet Borussia Dortmund

Real Madrid will travel to an in-form Borussia Dortmund for match day two of the Champions League.

This is a big task for Zinedine Zidane who will have to quash the danger from Dortmund’s fast paced football and counter attacks. Dortmund has been on an impressive run after the 1-0 defeat away to RB Leipzig on match day two of the Bundesliga.

Since then, BVB has scored 20 goals in four games netting 6 goals each past Legia Warsaw and Darmstadt.

Dortmund is currently second in the Bundesliga league, three points behind Baryen Munich. Whilst Real Madrid is on first spot leading the table with a point ahead of rivals Barcelona.

On the other hand, Dortmund will be on fire with pace from Real Madrid’s Cristiano Ronaldo and Gareth Bale.  Real Madrid has scored 12 goals but were held to a draw at the weekend by Las Palmas.

In the previous meeting between these two sides at Dortmund won 2-0 with a brace from Marco Reus in the quarter final 2nd leg. Real Madrid had won the first leg 3-0 at the Santiago Bernabeu to advance to the semi-final stage.
