Katsande puts emotions aside as he faces former club

Zimbabwe International captain Willard Katsande says he will put emotions aside as his side Kaizer Chiefs faces his former club Ajax Capetown in the ABSA Premiership on Saturday.

Katsande joined Ajax in his debut season before crossing over to Kaizer Chiefs. As quoted by Soccer Laduma Katsande says he is grateful for the role Ajax played in his career.

“I am grateful to Ajax for introducing me to South African football,” he told journalists. “I am here because of them but now I have been at Chiefs for a long time and that’s in the past.”

“There are no emotions when playing against Ajax because I have a duty to do for Chiefs and that’s what will be happening on Saturday. We want to win and everyone in the team is ready for that encounter and getting the three points,” Katsande concluded.

Kaizer Chiefs currently lead the ABSA Premiership standings on goal difference with just 5 games played in the season.
