The semi-finals of the Chibuku Super Cup are set for this weekend at Mandava Stadium and Barbourfields stadium .However in a strange move teams that were drawn as the home team Ngezi Platinum and Harare City will now play away.
The Premier Soccer League did not officially give a reason but is likely targeting numbers for the matches with Highlanders and FC Platinum both having a large fan base compared to Harare City and Ngezi Platinum.
Highlanders take on Ngezi Platinum at Barbourfields on Sunday while Harare City and FC Platinum battle it out in the other semi-final at Mandava on Saturday.
Tonderai Ndiraya will likely be keen to get revenge on Highlanders after losing a tense league match last time Ngezi Platinum visited Barbourfields. However with Highlanders still in the league title race Erol Akbay will be out to keep the dream of a league and cup double alive.
Defending champions Harare City will need to get past FC Platinum side that has failed to win in their last two games and is also under pressure to deliver.
Both matches will be broadcast live on Supersport.
