Highlanders invite African football legend for awards ceremony

Title chasing Highlanders are set to have legendary ex Zambian footballer Kalusha Bwalya as their guest at their end of season club awards ceremony.

The awards ceremony has tentatively set for 2 December at a Bulawayo hotel. Highlanders are celebrating their 90th year of existence and have brought back the event to reward players and technical staff.

“The club is greatly looking forward to have Kalusha as their guest at their end of year awards ceremony a source close to the club told Soccer24.They have been in constant touch with him and its almost set.

Bosso last held a club awards ceremony in 2012 after they finished second to Dynamos owing to an inferior goal difference.

The awards ceremony saw the then club’s players that include Masimba Mambare, Lawson Nkomo, Innocent Mapuranga and current stand in captain Eric Mudzingwa smile all the way to the bank after clinching the prizes. Zimbabwean football legend Peter Ndlovu and his late brother Adam Ndlovu we among the invited guests.
