Uganda to reward Denis Onyango

The Ugandan football association  is reportedly set to reward Mamelodi Sundowns keeper Denis Onyango with land for clinching the CAF Champions League .

Onyango became the first Ugandan to lift the continental crown.

Onyango has been a key player for the South African side and despite being stretched off during the fina after an injury Sundowns did enough to beat Zamalek on a 3-1 aggregate score line.

According to Ugandan sports website Kawowo.com Federation of Uganda Football Associations (FUFA) boss Moses Magogo said rewarding outstanding sports icons will motivate millions across the country

“The intent of rewarding Onyango is to motivate all people contributing to the development of  football is quoted saying.

“The rewards will go to anyone who stands out in football refereeing, administration and any other individual whose contribution stands out.

Onyango will officially receive his land title when Uganda Cranes play Congo Brazzaville in the 2018 FIFA World Cup qualifier next month.
