CAPS United,Ngezi Platinum and Luke Masomere handed fines

The Premier Soccer League has released disciplinary judgments for CAPS United, Ngezi Platinum and Luke Masomere.

CAPS United have been fined $1500 for delaying a Chibuku Super Cup match against Tsholotsho at the National Sports Stadium in September.

CAPS United players remained in their team bus and refused to take the field over outstanding salaries and bonuses. The match eventually kicked off 35 minutes after the scheduled kickoff . $500 of the fine is suspended on condition the club does not commit a similar offence this season.

Ngezi Platinum have also been hit with a $1500 fine for disrupting normal proceedings in a league match against Highlanders at Barbourfields.

Ngezi Platinum players protested a late Highlanders penalty and threatened to abandon leading to a stoppage in play.

Border Striker head coach Luke Masomere has also been fined for a fine committed in 2015 while managing How Mine.

Masomere has been fined $1250 for questioning match officials before a game against Highlanders. Masomere said matches against Highlanders were not on a level playing field and suggested referees were afraid of Highlanders supporters leading to bias when officiating
