EPL: Chelsea beat Man City, Spurs rout Swansea

Chelsea recovered from a goal down to beat Manchester City 3-1 at the Etihad Stadium and climb further clear at the top of the Premier League table.

An eighth win in a row for the Blues in the top flight, and a second in succession from behind, was secured thanks to a second-half turnaround after the hosts failed to make the most of their chances when ahead.

Diego Costa, substitute Willian and Eden Hazard were all on target, cancelling out Gary Cahill’s own goal shortly before the interval to make this Chelsea’s best run of form in the Prem since 2010.

Tottenham Hotspur have recorded a 5-0 victory over Swansea City to close the gap on the top four in the Premier League table.

Harry Kane and Christian Eriksen netted two goals apiece while Son Heung-min chipped in with a stunning volley as Mauricio Pochettino’s side closed the gap on Manchester City, who lost against Chelsea earlier on.

Sunderland beat defending champions Leicester City 2-1 at the Stadium of Light to move off the bottom of the Premier League table.
