The Warriors played out a goalless draw with the Ivory Coast on boxing day in an international friendly.

Initially the match was meant to help both squads prepare for AFCON 2017 but both coaches ended up opting to use mostly locally based players due to unavailability of European based players that had not been released by their clubs yet.
