Warriors sorry for conduct says Mussa

Zimbabwe national team players are sorry for embarrassing the government and the nation at large according to their team manager Sharif Mussa.

Warriors players snubbed a send off dinner on Friday after an impasses with ZIFA over money for AFCON 2017.

The stalemate lead to the cancellation of the dinner which had seen acting vice president Emerson Mnangagwa invited as a guest of honour.

However on Saturday an agreement was finally reached between the players and ZIFA which lead to the Warriors leaving in batches on Sunday.

ZIFA has already apologised for the embarrassing situation to the nation while Mussa issued an apology to the players.

‘No doubt the method with which how all this was done may not have been proper Mussa is quoted saying by Herald. On behalf of the team and everybody I do sincerely apologise to the nation and everybody concerned.

Mussa felt it was not fair to label the players mercenaries as they just asking for what they deserve after qualifying for the competition and ahead of it.

Mussa assured the nation that the Warriors are now focused and urged the nation to rally behind the team now.
