Malajila says the Warriors are prepared and confident

The Warriors vice captain Cuthbert Malajila has expressed confidence that the Warriors will represent the Nation well when they come face to face with Senegal in a crucial Group B encounter at the Gabon AFCON 2017.

The Zimbabwe National Team came close to creating an upset in the opening encounter against Algeria which ended as a 2-2 draw. They will come into the match seeking nothing short of victory in order to qualify to the last 8.

Speaking at a the match press conference, Malajila said the team is welly prepared and confident to enter the jungles to face the Teranga Lions.

“The feeling is good and we are very prepared. We have the confidence and belief, and we are looking forward to the game against Senegal. The populace back home are behind us and they know what we are capable of doing. They call us “the golden generation” and we hope to make them proud.”, Said Malajila.

The opponents Senegal appear to have given the Warriors the much needed respect as their legendary coach Aliou Cisse admitted that the Warriors will not be pushovers being a “strong, physically and athletic” team.
