Willard Katsande was on the score sheet as Kaizer Chiefs resumed ABSA premiership action with a convincing 3-1 win over Free State Stars.

Chiefs took the lead in the after a spectacular free kick by Siphiwe Tshabalala in the 18th minute.

Chiefs doubled the lead in the 32nd minute when Edmore Chirambadare was tackled inside the box leading to a penalty. Bernard Parker’s initial effort was saved but managed to score on the rebound to make it 2-0.

Katsande then added the third in impressive fashion when he beat two defenders before cooly scoring past another.

Kaizer Chiefs moved to third on the ABSA Premiership standings with the win.
